DM6 Eyes

Had some problems with the eyes in my DM6, could get them working flawlessly then the next day they wouldn't work again. A friend had a look at it and removed the small o-rings that sit between the eyes and eye plates, I assumed to hold them in place and it seems to of solved the problem.

My question is what is the purpose of these o-rings, is removing them a bad thing? ... I mean considering it works now and didn't work with them in are they essential?

they must be there for a reason though.

Try finding an online user manual (that is if you don't have a phsyical manual) and have a look see at the diagram or eye cleaning instructions, or failing that ask ash or tommy at dye

Yeah, there is no mention of o-rings there. But apparently the gun was serviced by Dye at the millenium series last year before I got it, so unless they put them in for some reason I don't understand their purpose.

I understand that the orings act as spacers for the self cleaning eyes.

I have read about issues with these on some DM6's.

If it works then leave it as it is
