hi guys ive not long brought this dm6 and since having it its always broken paint right inside the breach, im struggling to research this other than the eyes being the cause of the issue, does this sound about right? i dont use ramping so max rate of fire is 8-9 balls per second i guess, but still its causing probs, ive also been having loader issues which im working on but with the eyes on i would guess that they wouldnt be connected? any help would be great as i cant wait to start enjoying this marker,

thanks a lot,
daz

im not to clued up on dye markers but on an ego you can set the ball detection time so if you can increase the ball detection time try that, i would try it around the 3 or 4 m/s mark

First thing to check is always the battery in the marker, replace it even if its new. See if problem persists.

If it does it could be connected to your loader, easiest way to rule that out is to try another loader off someone elses gun to see if the problem persists. If the loader isn't constantly feeding balls they can bounce in the chamber and get chopped by the bolt as it fires after they set off the eyes.

After doing both the above you will know if it is the marker itself.

You can find the DM6 manual here, For all the information you need on how to adjust settings.

When you turn the marker on and fire the first shot does the led flash green? if it does then your eyes arent working and i guess your chopping paint. This will cause the gun to go into a default setting of 8bps. Being on semi doesnt help as you may not be hitting the trigger at a constant speed. Try putting it on 10bps millenium ramp with the eyes on then off and see if you get the same problem.

hi guys, ive used a few types of paint, sterling, proto and another i cant remember and all have the same issue, im having hopper issues at the moment to so i used a mates, this helped a lot but it did still break paint, i also upped the lpr to 4.5 turns from 3 turns so it could have been that i guess, ill try 0.5 more of a turn, also ill put it into millenium mode to see if that helps, will that automatically go to 10.5 bps? i know im useless, ive been doing this for just a year but im still no more clued up with these things so all the help is great, anybody aware of anywhere i could take it near reading (or post it) to have it checked if i cant ever sort this? thanks again guys, daz
