Mooching round the 50, with the flag
Afternoon all, I'm after some help with my DM3, so could use the advice of someone who is more familiar with these markers than me (not difficult).

The problem is that the bolt sticks forward as soon as I try to take the velocity above 260fps, when taking the velocity down around 250fps the bolt cycles freely, the marker ramps etc. 260fps and above it's bolt-stick city

I have the std lpr ad a hyper2 inline reg, the lrp is wound in as far as it will go until there is a clicking or snapping sound as you turn it.

The marker is running a gold evolve bolt and has a tadao M5 board. The reg on the air bottle is set around 400-450 psi (low pressure).

Would adjusting the dwell have any effect and the tadao board has and Anti-bolt stick (ABS) feature though I haven'ty investigated these routes yet hence my request for advice.

cheers in advance....

sounds like your lpr is to far in turn it out five complete turns. that should send enough air into the back of your bolt to push it back to set again

Some success!!

Well in the end i removed the lpr, gave it a clean and squeezed a bit of fresh slick lube over it and would you believe it!! I'm was pushing 300+fps on some shots I've tweaked it back into the 290's, not fantastically consistent, stil +/- 15fps so there's some tuning to be done, and I'm still getting the odd bolt stick when on ramping but in semi it looks pretty good...

:D

cheers, I had a read through this:

Five simple steps to setting your LPR

1. Turn in your LPR all the way.

2. Set your velocity via the inline regulator.

3. While taking slow shots over the chronograph slowly turn out your LPR until you see a drop in your velocity.

4. Turn your LPR back in about 1/4 to a 1/2 a turn.

5. Walk your trigger as fast as you can. If you notice drop-off or shoot down turn your LPR in a smidgen.

Congratulations! Your LPR is now set correctly!

however when I wind my lpr in, I get bolt stick, winding it out again resolves the issue - mostly

I'll have a play over the next few nights and see how it goes. Tonights result has been promising though, as I have never been able to get it firing close to 300fps before with the bolt sticking in any mode.

well I think I'm more or less sorted, I put about a turn on the lpr, there's still has a bit of bolt stick on the first shot but after that it seems fine semi seems to sort it out after a few seconds the ABS kicks in on the ramping and psp modes.

cheers for the advice
