Hi guys,

Did my first strip clean/maintenance of my dm12 last night, once I got over bricking it of course!

All is fine apart from one aspect, the hyper 3 reg...

I can remove the reg from the body of the marker itself, and remove the macro line but I cannot for the life of me remove the silve macro line adapter on the reg side, I know it's done with an Allen key but it's stuck, the Allen key will not move am I missing something?

I'm on 6 /7 cases now and I've heard that the majority of problems with dye markers are poor maintenance so would like to get it done ASAP.

Cheers guys

they are sealed in place from factory i believe, if you need to remove/replace the macro fitting then put the allen key in a vice and try and twist the reg
However its on a 45 degree swivel which once the bottom cap of the hyper3 is off it will just slide off to access the internals of the reg

Do I have to remove the fitting to get inside the reg? Or will it twist with it on? I just assumed I had to remove it

if you remove the bottom cap with the allen key, cant remember what size - its big though, then the 45 degree swivel will just pop down.
then unscrew the top cap to the midle part of the hyper 3, then the internals should pop out with a tap on the desk or get needle nose pliers and pull them out

Don't take the hyper 3 apart unless it starts fluctuating, or at least wait far more than 6/7 cases. They rarely go wrong and you can do more harm if you don't know what you're doing.
Just lube the o-rings and keep it clean, dye markers require far less maintenance than people think.
