What is the main big diffrence between the dm6 and dm proto apart from the price diffrence??

if you talking about the DM6 and the DMC then the difference is plastic or whatever material it is.

The DM6 is metal, the DMC is part metal part plastic to make it lighter.

Its not a DM proto mate its a pm (proto matrix ) not dye matrix.

on the planet eclipse web site there are 2 new matrix markers on there and one is a Dye M6 Proto Matrix so would that be as you said a proto matrix instead?

The 2006 Proto Matrix (PM6) is different to the 2006 Dye Matrix (DM6). Both are different to the almightily plastic Dye Matrix Composite (DMC) which is basically a flimsier version of a DM5.

There's a comparison chart knocking round somewhere. Like Mr. Wrath said before, do a search.
