Dm help needed

Hi all, I'm after some advice or tips on what to look for before I start pulling the old girl apart.

I have a DM LCD/LED, it hasn't been gassed up for some time, when I connect a bottle and screw in the on/off I get gas leaking through the grip, it's coming out where all the wiring for the battery and eyes comes through from the body into the board. Any suggestions on what to do first?

If you turn the on/off under the barrel does it make it better/worse? if so it's probably the o-ring on the on/off, if not its probably the gasket on the noid, it may have worked loose or need replacing.

Edit: I take it it's a DM4? if it's an earlier DM then I havn't got a clue

If it's an Old skool matrix, check the O-rings on the outside of the LPR, especially the O-ring on the LPR that contacts the Solenoid Manifold.

Secondly, check the condition of the manifold seal that's in contact with the body of the gun, make sure the solenoid is secure on the manifold, but do not over tighten the screws.

Finally, and less likely, but worth checking, the Plug(s) for the air chambers at the rear of the gun under the backplate.

yep, it's an old school matrix (well old, old school if you like)

Then O ring check it is. If it is the original LCD Matrix pre Dye and you have problems getting spares give me a shout. I might have a few knocking around.

cheers spike, I got a couple of spares o-rings when I bought the gun so I'll strip it down over the weekend and have a look.

Any luck with this? I hate it when old trixs arn't felling well. Might be worth stripping down and cleaning the 'noid if it isn't the LPR o-ring.

Haven't had time as yet, been building PC's this week

I'm gonna try and take a look over the next couple of days as I need to check over the DM3 I also have as that one has a very minor leak around the elbow/macroline, that said I'm tempted to leave it as it's only a very slight hiss.

My older trix is a Gen-e but has some upgraded internals and a tadao v1.1 board.

I could do with some advice on setting both of them up as I don't really get the idea of setting the LPR. I'm expecting to run them both off a HP preset bottle and only have experience of setting up my angel IR3 which is a p.o.p.
