Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting a dive tank to keep at home and fill my air bottles at home when needed.

Please advise

Thanks :D

Buy second hand, make sure you have a nice long test on them 12 or 15 litre 232 or 300 bar are available and you will need a fill rig.
Also somewhere like a dive shop / gun shop to refill.
Ill have some 12 s up for sale soon but postage or collection is a factor.

I see, thanks mate, where abouts do you live, and what's the test date on them like?

Also, why do you advise buying secondhand only?

Sorry one more question lol

How come you can only fill them at a gun or dive shop and not at the air compressors at pb sites?

Cheers (y)

when you go to a paintball site it`s usually when they have a game on,
the air that you need volume wise has to be taken from the storage Air Tanks as It`s too much time in one hit to fill without causing a stir with others Not getting what they require for playing as they are the paying customer on the day, My advice to you is to ask the site manager if you can fill your dive bottle .." At the playing days end ", then of course it takes a while as they ready themselves to go home, then it becomes a race , Is it going to fill up before they want to go home.

Asking a site to fill your dive tank may cause insurance issues, doubt if they would take the risk when most dive centers only charge a fiver, some dive centers fill for free.

So, err, when you get a dive tank, do you have to get some kind of special adapter to fill your air bottle from?
