I guess I'm relatively new to paintball so tend to make up for lack of experience with lots of browsing on the different sites and forums to pick up hints and tips. This leads to reading alot of opinions about certain markers being inherently more accurate than others (eg, cockers vs angels), closed vs open bolt arguments and so on, and this has got me thinking (yes dangerous I know )
On the issue of shooting distance, then assuming no spin is deliberately imparted on the ball (like with the Flatline barrel) then surely this is dependant upon the speed that the ball leaves the barrel. Assuming the same trajectory, then wouldn't a cocker (for example) shoot the same distance as a spider, assuming each ball left the barrel at 300 fps?
Regarding accuracy it seems accepted and proven that this is down to a good match between paint used and your barrel bore. So again, assuming the same paint was used in the same barrel, would 2 entirely different markers shoot with the same accuracy?
Am I being a bit nieve or are there other factors which I'm not taking into consideration.
