I'll explain what Dirty Sanchez is for those that don't know. It's a UK equilvant of Jackass, shown on MTV, with 4 guys basically inflicting extreme pain on themselves and each other, especially to their nether regions. Its called entertainment;)

Now I dont have a problem with the shows content as such, however moronic the individuals are, but I do have a problem with outsiders being dragged into the mire with them.

Last nights episode showed a clip of the guys playing Paintball NAKED! except for masks.

Funny - possibly
Stupid - yes
Painful - Abso ***king lutley, they drew blood

The issue is:

WHAT PAINTBALL SITE THOUGHT IT A GOOD IDEA TO HELP WITH THIS PROGRAMME? :(

It was a site and not just a patch of woodland, you could tell from the obstacles and equipment. Why did they get involved and show such irresposible behaviour? They could argue that because the Dirty Sanchez guys were wearing masks that it was safe!

Hallo!! Some of the threads on this very forum talk of hits to gonads and dicks and the very real damage it causes. These blokes were aiming at this area delibratley and at close range (roughly 6ft). One guy had three welts on his arse that had all drawn blood.

Now I realise that all parties concerned probably signed disclaimers which puts them all in the clear but what about when joe public tries this at home? and someone will!

The site in question should of thought twice about this in my opinion. It is not helpful in promoting safe Paintball. If the guys had gone and bought the stuff from a shop then thats a whole different kettle of fish and no one can legislate for what people will do. The same people that will copy this have the same mentality to shoot someone or something in the street as they drive by. Its not big and its not clever.

The site in question should be ashamed!

Yeh seen that and I have to say - ouch!:(

Does put paintball in a bad way but when people see it they might think that looks funny, we should go check it out and see what the kick of it all is.

Just my 2p

I can understand why the site involved took part in this. The program makers were going to do this somewhere whatever, and at least if it was at a site that made them wear masks & had some kind of safety procedures it would be better than somewhere completely unregulated.

Its not the program thats really at fault. My beef is with the site that allowed it to be filmed.

Liz's point about safety is valid but i'd rather they had done this stunt 'in private' than a paintball site gives it some credence!
