Been trying to get my air tank filled and on the advice of someone on here (sorry forget who exactly) I went down to a dive shop in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

The shop said they would do it but they dont have the right rig so I need to bring my own.

Having looked on a few sites I have found Din fill rigs and A-Clamp rigs. Being as how they are a few quid I like to know which one I should be looking at.

Any thoughts anyone?

Cheers mate!

Is that the only difference then that a din goes up to higher pressure than an A-clamp?

I have a 3000psi tank so would it not be safer to get the A-clamp to avoid over filling?

let's start at the beginning here.

What bottle are you trying to get filled.

1. your gun bottle

2. a dive bottle.

ok, then you'll need a fill adaptor, which is a quick release female to a din female.
I can make you one of these for £25

Tom is the air god. Follow his advice.

Oh, get a din type as they are the more popular choice bcos should you upgrade your bottle to 4500psi, this will work with it, whereas an a-clamp will limit your fills to 3000psi. (Is that correct oh mighty Tom?)

Any dive shop worth their salt will not overfill your bottle!!!

Tinkering ain’t easy
Kinda what I said, if he only want a 3000psi fill he may as well save the pennies and get a A clamp (thats assuming hes happy with a 3000psi bottle and not looking to upgrade to a 4.5k) or even better something off Tom.

As it has been said Tom knows the score so hell sort you out
