Diablo Cup thanks

After such a good event at Elsham I just wanted to thank Jon Payne for putting on another quality event. Despite the attempts from the weather to ruin it for all, the event was excellent. Thanks Jon.

Also a big up to the marshals - we did not have a single problem in any game all day, probably the first time I can ever honestly say that!

Finally a big thank you to my team mates - Jeff, Matt, Alvaro, Piper, Dave Copsey and Peegee. You guys rocked and made my first outing as captian a real pleasure. I am real pround of how we played.

It's amazing how much shorter a 4.5 hr drive home is when you've just come joint 1st with the Tigers!

Thank You

I would like to add my thanks to Jon Payne.

I am usually on the organising side - this time I was on the playing side as well, so I would like to thank

Jon Payne - who won't see this as he is now on his way abroad for a meeting with the "SUN"
His helpers who set the fields up
Tracy and Emma Paint who helped set the fields up in the worst weather I have experienced.
The marshals - well done all
Steve and Rob for getting the air started and then H-pac for supplying the fills and a lot of "banter"
The teams in the B division for some good games
Red Heat for sending 5 of the team to the dead zone within 30 seconds (not me I hasten to add) and then acting "gentlemanly" when eliminating our last player - the Beauty!!

It was a hard division (note the two pro finalist Tigers and Campaign power and the novice finalist Team Quest all came from our division)

The Beauty and the six beast players
Thank you to our sponsors
Jon Payne
Severe Paintballs for paint and the tops (cheers Harry)
Phoenix Paintballs
Lisa and Jim in the butty van
Powerplay Paintball
Tracy and Stuart Paint
Undercover Paintball
Andy Clarke who is one diamond geezer for supplying our markers
Helen our pit crew star

We had a great day and I shot a couple

:D

OI!!!!

Don't bad mouth the hallowed ground. Elsham rocks.

John was saying during the day that he was developing the ground with some better turf so the fields would be better quality, don't know what parking plans are but I agree he needs to sort that out. The tournament was great I thought. Competition was good and the field layouts were superb (especially the Smart Parts field), the Angel field was terrible though, no room for good gameplay on that the winners would be the ones to shoot the most at the only bunkers that you could get in.

If the weather was good (as if ) then I reckon everyone would have loved the event. Playing in the dark is quite hard though.

Good job Bully/Payney.

Ok not all of you! If it was not for Sam and Beaker........ You would have won!

Piper
Our minds were not there due to the tragedy of TJ. Then we all took one look at you, Piper, and we felt better. Thanks for the pick me up:D

P.S. Sam and Beaker did bring us down. Congrats on a good tourney for Campaign Power;)
