Desparatly need cocker help

just got a new cocker (2002), I'm a bit of a newbie and have run into a worrying problem.

I've fitted the steel hose, the problem is when I gas it up (with CO2) gas gushes out from around the elbow where it screws into the bottom of the regulator.

As I understand it there could be one of the following problems.

1. I've blown the O'ring in the cap that unscrews from the bottom of the reg proper.

2. The elbow is a bad fit and I need a new one, I may have over trightened or crossed the treads, but I doubt it.

3. I need to remove the elbow and put on some PTFE tape (I frogot to do this in the first place).

4. When I was at Skirmish Nottingham getting my co2 bottle refilled, I mentioned this problem and one of the chaps there said that as it is brand new there may be a seal problem with the screw?
I wasn't clear whether he meant the one where the gas connects or the seal where the reg srews into the marker (though the problem isn't there.)
He said that I would need to send it back to get repaired and added that he'd had this problem with his mag.

If it's this last one, and knowing my luck it probably is. I'll have to send it back. Slight problem there, though it is brand new i got it from a guy in Canada, this was not second hand but from a company that sell lots of stuff through ebay (paint, markers etc.).

So where do I send it? who do I talk to? I can't find any WGP contacts for the UK.
It would still be under warranty but the card I got was for the U.S. Would Planet be able to help?
Does anyone now any sympathetic airsmiths/cocker specialists in the nottinghamsire/derby/midlands ?

Help me please

Right idea

You got the right idea, you just have to do it. It's irritating when you tighten everything up and it leaks, but that's life. Take the hose and elbow off, and teflon all the threads. I don't recommend using threadlock because people tend to use too much, clogging the passage of air. Try the teflon, then post and tell us if it worked or not.
Good Luck,
