Are there any official defenitions? I mean, I've played 7 man teams entered as Novice, who had 4 players on board who played for "Pro" teams, and wiped the floor with everyone else and subsequently took the Novice trophy for the day!!

Is there, and if not should there be, a points system worked out for each player on the team, which would give a team an overall "ranking value" so that their rank depends solely on their performance? maybe the UKPSF or millenium series could pick this one up.....

I DUNNO!!! help me out here....I originally worte a whole paragraph, but confused myself trying to work it out :(

Ah well, I'll be at the Indoor 2moro...so smile for the camera!!!

Should be a system but there ain't
Should be professional Judges but there ain't
Should play at the correct level but there ain't any

Notice anything re-occuring ?

The NPPL has a structure in place to deal with ringers no-one else has anything like that in place HCL tried way back but then HCL folded

Its a bitch when that happens to you at a tournament but then when are you or do you become more than a novice? it is an unaswerable question until someone decides to do a european version of the NPPL together and the tournaments stick to the rules laid down

I think this thread will get rather long with people saying oh lets do it this way or no do it this way but until we get a committee like America its gonna keep happening

Another thing about the NPPL, they are now phasing in a PROFESSIONAL judging system with paid judges! It is called the PRO. There will be about 20 judges mixed with refs from top level teams. Players will only ref untill the PRO has enough refs to completely staff an event. They hope to have the 2002 NPPL world cup reffed by only PRO judges.
