Dear Teams thank you for your support and if your not playing this time my applogies

Firstly let me thank you all for the support and Intrest I have had over the last two years.

I was only expecting 20 or so teams for the first event so to have over 30 was incredible. To those teams that didn't get to play this time my apologies. It was not personal, it was purely based on who got their deposit in by cut off time. We have tried to be fair and treat every one the same. The venue is only suitable for 3 fields and so we can only run a limited amount of games with out it over stretching resources and ultimately spoiling your day.

This is not what M25 is about.

Several teams are looking for players if your team needs players let us know we have already found teams for 4 players and are helping another 3 teams at present.

The next event 2nd leg April the 6th is all set to be bigger with 4 fields so more teams can play. I know some teams not playing this time wanted to enter for the whole series and it's a real shame you missed out. Hopefully this will not put you off.

My thanks to you the players for your ideas and support I hope you enjoy the event and I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Maybe for next year, to make it fairer for all, venues capable of the same number of fields could be found.
Are all the future venues this year four field, or will some teams have further difficulty?

To be honest i think that every team has had enough warning, there were posts dailly from Sparklie and Liz asking for deposits to be paid. If a team is not playing and they wanted to be then you have my sympathies, but everyone had more than enough time to get their money in and play. there is only so much that any of the organisers can do.

What happens if next time there are 4 fields and 50 teams-60 teams want to play?? There is never going to be enough room for everyone and so the fairest way to do it is 1st come 1st served basis. What other way could you suggest?

Teams will have to make sure that they book early next time in order to get a place......thats the way that it should be. Would you complain to Niall if you were unable to get a place at Campaign because they had reached their full quota of teams?

I think that not sacrificing quality for quantity is the right way to go.

Tony please dont take this for me having a go at you, im not, i just think that in this respect that the way this tourney is being run is the right way to go.

Peace, sam :)

just out of ignorance, how long has this tourney been available for entry?

and when was the first and last date for deposits to be recieved for guaranteed places?

i heard that there was to be an M25 league at the Pheonix indoor, but knowone knew any dates or venues then.

not a dig just a simple question!

the 21st if feb was the first day that the venue for the 16th march was announced and this post gave details of when deposits were due in by, and how much, and gave more info about the location of the first event and prices or entry, paint, prizes, tech info, trade info accomodation etc....

teams have had nearly a month to get sorted

where did that come from?

Hi sjt19

I don't see it that your reply is having a go mate, I didn't think you had even replied to me first of all.
You really didn't read my original post that well, even though you quoted it.
The only point I was raising is that maybe number of fields at each venue should be the same, in future. I made no mention of deposits, this is a seperate issue altogether.
To use your example of Campaign, Millenium Series. Having competed in all of the Millenium series, you suddenly find that the final venue only has four fields instead of six. This means that 30% of the teams that have taken part in the whole series will not have a place at the final event!
All I was really asking, is are all the future M25 venues four or more fields.
Cheers

yeah he will know gaff, i used to play in the same team as him 10years ago!

i tend to agree with TonyF with the number of fields issue! if the individual tourneys were not part of a series then it wouldnt matter, but now even if we got in on the rest of the events we would have to have a miracle happen in our favour to enable us to win the series!

we simply didnt get the deposit in on time, but thats another issue as previously said.

good luck sunday, if you are in the AM team then sorry that we cannot resume our battle that we had up at pheonix in the finals.

Think on this people the M25 is a brand new event, and as such had no preditermined quotas of teams so it was capped by way of a date...damned close date in regard to the actual playing date and those teams that got the deposits sent in on time will indeed play, the expected numbers have already been exceeded (though not by huge amounts) and as such amendments to the numbers of teams following through with the series will be catered for but again no deposit by given date then no place. The field numbers will be increased to take care of these increased numbers as will the trade presence (someone is regretting not putting a larger show on but will change that at the next event). Huntingdon Beach capped the tournament by way of date and team numbers and actually fell short of the projected figures for those teams, the next event is unlikely to be in that same situation. The same will happen for the M25 Series. Money talks and to say you are sending a deposit is not enough these days. So get your deposits off for the next event NOW. Remember that a great many teams who are playing this round have paid the rolling deposit for the entire series so limitations WILL apply to the numbers of spare slots. In case you are worried about the series points then it is perfectly possible to still win the series when in fact your team has only played in 5 rounds.
