yes I know both are good markers and I fail to see how its a "stupid thread", im simply asking for advice regarding two very different guns. Ive shot both guns at one point or another, but not for any extended periods of time, i was looking for advice from people who own them, theres more to owning a gat then shooting it at people for a few hours, I want to know about any faults that may develop, maintenance issues, userfriendlieness of adjusting settings etc.

So in conclusiong - Stupid Reply

What your likely to get it is people bigging up there marker. these types of threads have been banned in most of the sections of pbnation

I agree with what you say about people bigging up their marker, thats why I said in my initial post, please give justification for your opinions. Im not overly familiar with pbnation but I think its generally refered to scornfully on here...

Anyway, back on topic if at all possible?

2 very very different guns entirely.

For ease i would say the proto as all that can go wrong is Orings, Protos are stupidly quick, with no kick but are a touch heavy on gas,

DC2 is a cocker....... Closed bolt gun which kicks like jackass, and tends to want to break at the worst possible time (talking from experience) fast and has a slightly unusual trajectory that all closed bolt guns has

The Proto does need a new feedneck from stock mind...

Brilliant, thanks for the info, more or less just confirmed what I was thinking that the PM5 is the better gun for me. Id be selling my E1 Nexus to get it so it will be sad to say goodbye to my cocker roots but I think that the last generation of matrixes were really good. Id like to have another play with each gun before I make my final decision though I think, if you're gonna be at Samurai training on the 26th Paul I wouldnt mind a few balls through yours if at all possible?
