damn, i broke an impy

yo,
stole my mates gun to train with the other day, cos mines broke, (an impulse vision), and i think what i did was i touched the battery terminales the wrong way round by accident and probly short circuited the board, and now it is dead:eek: :( :(
ok, tell it to me straight how much:rolleyes: i mean apparently talkin to him the only way to fix it is to buy a Rat Equilizer Board:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :mad:

Well you could buy a new cricket board, roughly £100 IIRC. Equalizer would be the better option though and at $129 cheaper too!!

but then you have to wait got knows how long for an EQ/WAS board!! go to e-paintball outlet and buy a normal board (non vision) for about £20!!

Not wanting to rub it in or anything, but could you explain what you did so I know what not to do! I understand it as putting the battery in with the positive terminal to negative and vice-versa...which seems too easy to happen really :S

if you've shorted the board, it is safe to say it is fooked beyond repair!

it would cost far more than £20 to repair it anyway!

I can't believe that simply touching the battery to the terminals the wrong way round would short the whole board... would it?

Boards generally have protection against that, and the majority dont have a need for protection. Have you tried a new battery, checked the switch and solenoid or checked the wiring for any damage?

No, just tried it since I've done this myself by mistake and nothings happened :D
