k, i wanna clean my max-flo out, but i don't have, or can't find the right allen key. i believe it requires a 9.0 to undo the top, but all english stores go from 8 to 10. also i need the right size allen key to fit the ew style locking cap, what size is this so i can hunt this down. thanks guys.

speak to ally mate

i believe he has a huge resource from mclaren that he occasionally "borrows" things from and they have the right allen key sizes... I have the same problem i want to turn my max flo bracket around so you hold the gun a bit further away from my face (more accurate...according to Tommy) I don't have the sodding allen key size to take the bracket off!!!

I just went down to B&Q and got a set of "imperial" allen keys, which seem to fit fine. The 5 small screws along the top of the max flow are 3/32 I think, and the bigger ones holding that to the underside of you frame are 1/8.

Double check, but that's what they were on mine... :D

However, if anyone can tell me what size key I need for the damn small screw that holds the eye in I'd be grateful...:p

spent hours in b&q and halfords (but that was cos a rather fit girl works there) so no-one knows what size the mahoosive allen key for the top of the maxflo is. as i say i think it's a nine, but don't quote me.

M8 get a ruler with mm and inches on it and measure from the widest points inside using the inches side. Or just get a flat head screw driver that has a snug fit in between the widest points and turn in the direction you want. Hope that helps.

Hmm, they must be all different then... :(

Mine is definitely a hex headed screw... and I've already snapped a small jeweller's screwdriver in it, half of which is now embedded in my finger!

In which case, please ignore what I said about the main max-flo heads being 1/8"... since it's quite likely that I have different ones for those too...

Thats the only problem with impys some of the hex heads ar imperial and some metric!!!!! not sure why but the best thing is to just get a set of metric and imperial allen keys, im sure they wont be expensive for a set, at least thell be cheaper then getting them from SP.
