We are sorry to announce that the D7's site is closed due to unforeseen circumstances ( the landlord being an arse). We sincerely apologise to all the teams and everyone else that has supported us in the last 2 years. League prizes will still be given out in due course. Thanks

Depends where it is and what the land has previously been used for. If the structures that you are intending to put up can be construed as non perminat then you may just need to apply for a change of use. Or if you only intend to use the land at times that won't cause a nuisance to your neighbours then it may be that pp is not required as long as no one complains about the increase in noise pollution attributed to your site.

I just rang Dave Stewart about this.

Apparently the land owner saw that the site was starting to get VERY popular...i think something like 200 people were there before campaign... and he saw this as an opportunity to demand an extortionate amount of money.

Dave, as im sure many know, aint the kinda person who will lay down and take that kinda thing. I'm told he's already in talks with new land owners and the D7 will return very soon.

I think you mean "an even MORE extortionate amount of money". I don't know exactly how much Dave was paying this year, but the amount at the start of last year was well in excess of what most people would pay for a site already set up - and Dave had to do all the work himself

We are fighting with the local council for nearly a year to get our site up and running! We got the land...but no planning permission.
Same thing happened to Yorkie with his site in Romford. I guess you either need lots of money to pay them off or a good sized portfolio of incriminating pictures
