Customizing mask help

Guys ive managed to pick up a red profiler very cheap, i hate red but picked it up thinking somehow i can change the colour of it, weather its painting it or dying it. Either way i need help/advice on how to do this, ive removed the lens/strap etc so its just the bare rubber mask.

I would like it to be all black if possible

I'm not sure about painting and dying. But I know that the 'soft ear' mod for profilers is becoming very popular in the states. Check out this thread:

There is no paint readily available that will adhere properly to the rubber Flexible part of the Profiler. Basically it will stay on until you flex the rubber or recieve a shot to the face, then it will begin to crack off.
You could always paint the black solid part which will then add or offset the red rubber.
