I noticed that Lucky US has a pre-modified Ion available to order which made me think... There's so many upgrades available for something like an Ion, plus the fact that many people buy these at the same time as the gun, is there anywhere that you can order an Ion, choose your ups, and get them to supply and fit them to the gun before sending it to you? E.g. buy a stock black ion, choose a board, choose a switch, choose eyes and eye colour, choose a QEV, choose life :) etc.

If no one is doing that right now I think that would be an option worth exploring for some of the paintball e-tailers.

i believe, if you give the warped guys a ring, they could sort it all out :) they certainly do at events... they aren't online though.

i think there have been, and will be sites like this, but most people, would prefer to slap it all together for themselves, especially if it would involve the items being shipped from the shops, to this other place, being fitted, and then sent to you. not exactly efficient is it?

I mean the shop themselves would outfit the marker with parts they already have in stock and sell seperately. I agree it wouldn't be best if the fitter had to order the parts first themselves, lol.

well, then they'd find themselves having a stock of only ion parts, since youd need at least 20 or so of something, to make it worthwile ordering from a distributer. and there are sooooooooooooo many parts and pieces to go into and onto ion's, it'd be madness.

good idea in theory really

Staying warm on a sunday!
warped are the numero UNO when it comes to ions!

we all shoot them (WCU) and they rock like rocking horse poo!!

warped dont do online sales because of the commitment to customer satisfaction and customer service

the amount of times they have had people who bought stuff online and come into the shop saying its broke etc when they just simply havent read the manual or know the slightest thing about the gun

see jimmy's rant here :

http://www.warpedsports.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=001298

with every gun sold at warped you get your own mini tech course on the gun and its operation and how to do anything and everything with it

but if you need a piece for the ion.... then warped are the ones to speak to

they do full set ups including new sith frames with + or - 15 degree angled FRM or just straight down

boards.. you name it!

plus you get all the original stock bits as well! ;)

I think the user should build the ION themselves under the supervision of a tech, that way the user knows exactly whats in their gun, what things need to be done to the gun to maintain it and what each thing in the gun actually does. At my local site we have people buy IONs from websites and break them, and expect us to repair them for free, the cheek of it!!!

Im borrowing these pic as an example, but if you compare a stock ION to the ION in the pic below and show it 2 a new player they would think they are 2 different guns.
