As my gat has grip screws in strange places i'm getting a standard set of ego dgrip and an going to make my own hole for the screw.

Any advice on what would be best to do this and what could be used to fill in/cover the old holes.

yeah you could drill and tap your frame to take a 2nd set of screws, assuming there is metal there to tap and nothing in the way that is.......im actually planning to do the very same thing to one of my projects.
what marker is it you are working on?

mmm re-read your post, seems we are thinking of 2 different ways to solve the same problem.....yes you could also cut new holes in the rubber grips for the screws, not sure how you would go about that tho im afraid or how you could hide the origonal ones.

was thinking of mb melting hole, possibly something like a souldering iron would do it. Been looking around and have found back plastic screws. Could just cut the heads off and fix them in the original holes.

Its for an evil omen. will look into the possibility of tapping new hole, good idea!

what marker you thinking of doing it to jahlad?

For a plastic grip worth nothing to a grip frame of alluminum that you probably wont be able to buy again - id stick to the altering a grip :)

You may as well get the grip under a drill press - filling the original holes is a possiblity but not a requirement

Depends how soft the grip in question is... id personally work your dimentions and use a drill press for accuracy and clean drilling - if your thinknig of using a drill bit and forcing it with your hand you may make a bit of a mess of the grip but hey its only something to hold i suppose - your call i guess

Hmmm...
You could possibly use a stone grinding bit (y'know, the ones that look like lollipops ;) ) to recess the top of the hole for the 'countersink'.

Hole punch and a hammer, maybe? May take a good coupla whacks to get through the plastic core tho.

Either a proper hole punch (like for fixing eyelets and press studs / rivets, etc) or just make one with a short steel tube the right size (drop in a nail at the top to hit with hammer). Maybe sharpen up the edge with a file first.

Could try fabric rivets to fill the holes up - like the ones holding yer jeans together.
Or those plastic rivet / plugs that hold some goggles' foam parts together? Like on old-schools.

Just a thought.
