United States......BITCHES!
Hey mates, I am starting my first custom cocker building.

Now, I need to know what the pros and cons are of the detents.

Im buying a custom body from a local shop; with either a wire or ball-bearing detent available. I will be making this cocker electo (eblade/reacegun/etc...)

Which berings are better and why? I know it may seem menial, but I'm putting alot of money into this cocker, and want it to be sick when I finish it, and want it all nice. So, let me know what you think.

P.S. I'll be asking more and more questions as the cocker comes together more, and more. Thanks for any help mates.

Not sure if you can fit break-beam eyes that easily (both E2 or Race) if you have a wire detent (i.e. evo stylee). I've seen it done on an Evo-X Racegun, it took a lot of work, and the result wasn't pretty...

Just something to consider...

Nah, tis easy with a wire detent and race eyes, had some on my side feed evo. They only looked ugly due to the fact I had an old eye kit that went over the top, and no eye covers. With the eye kit that goes up each side and covers they look just fine :)

Like I said, the one I saw wasn't pretty, and the RaceFrame itself had a slot milled inside the grip to allow the use of an Eblade eye cover (eye cover at 90 deg as opposed to an angled race cover.)

What covers did/do you have? The latest Race covers i've seen are designed to be used with standard ball nut detents, wereas the Mag Racer covers can be used on both, but dont look that good (ruthlessp8ntballer wants I to look 'sick':p ).

I know that Belsales won't fit Race eyes (That might have changed), so that's why I chose an E-blade when I upgraded my Evo-x earlier this year.

I think Dangerous Brian can give the best answer to the Wire vs Bearing question:)
