Lump, the orings on the cure bolt also prevent damage occuring when balls are slammed towards the breach by the loader. Lemons ego is probably well set up, with a decent loader and good paint.

Poorer set ups, with overtly fast loaders and **** paint will be helped a modicum by the cure bolt. Barrel breaks will be less of an issue cos the paint otherwise damaged in transit to the breach will have one extra bit of cushioning over say any non-cure bolt model.

for the record I've got an 05 ego on a stock bolt which has had a fair bit of paint thrown through it, from hard-as-rocks rubbish to extremely brittle paint on a cold winters day, and I have yet to chop a ball OR break in the barrel. Not sure whether my gun is nicely set up or what, but I havent actually seen the need for one yet.

Thats my two cents.
