my crossfire 1.1 litr 4500psi LP (blue) has a burst disc, will be playing 2moro and wont be getting the replacement disc till 2moro morning due to a very very nice man (thank you mr syd). Problem is i have never replaced a disc before, am looking at the bottle see 2 things i can unscrew with a spanner, just undid one and saw nothing inside (was expecting to see the old disc), so am asuming its the other.

How do i replace it?

it's the one that leaks air, i hope you ordered the right one as they are different.
It's usually the lower pressure one that goes, 1800psi i think.

right ok, so 2moro chuck so air in it and listen to which one leaks then replace that one. Think syd is bringing both cos i said dont have a clue.

Only managed to get one off, the other one seemed very tight, would this mean this is the working one due to preasure or am i a whimp?

try a bit harder, but make sure the ring spanner is a good fit, as they are made of soft brass and will round easily.

yeah made that mistake earlier and found it bending a bit, got a nice big ajustable round it now, one i took off earlier seems to be in tact will it be obvious to me which one is burst ie it looks broken or do i just have to fill as obv generators wont be on for a while.

and thank you very much tom

have a look under the rim, you'll see the burst rating of the disc. It'll be either 1800 or 7k. I expect the 1800 one will be the faulty one.
