Ok, PGI can usually find something bad to say about even the best tournaments...thaz our job...and it usually gets the message across to the organiser before they make the same mistake at their next event. Anyway, I'm interested to know what you bunch of idiots think we'll find to moan about this year, and which tournaments. I'll kick off with my predictions and you can feel free to add your own, add more events and potential moans etc, so maybe we can air and stamp out all the problems before they have a chance to happen. Either that or prove ourselves right and then moan even more smugly than usual...

LA Open - Someone will get caught causing a MAJOR infraction of the rules and will get away with it.

Skyball - People will still be playing at 2am trying to keep up with the schedule.

Maxs Masters - There won't be many teams and the weather will be dreadful. And the finals will be all US teams.

Mayhem - It's in Amsterdam, so the judges will turn up late every morning and turn it into one huge disaster.

Toulouse - There will be too many Amateur teams playing in the Novice division and the No-Look rule will piss a lot of people off.

Campaign - There will be so many cameras on the field that someone will end up punching a cameraman for getting in the way. There won't be a players' party.

World Cup, FL - There will STILL be nowhere to watch the games from, and they won't bother to put up a Hyperball field.

Waddaya think? Am I barking up the wrong flagpole?

A wee add on to the Amsterdam complaints.....
The judges being late won't be a problem, because all the teams will be late as well (except for a few Dutch teams, who are quite used to all of the things on offer in Amsterdam). Levels of play will be at an all time low, with most players nursing hangovers, and itchy groins. The fields will be obscured from the public by a constant misty haze. There might be a player's party, but no one knows (or cares) because the town itself will have far too much appeal..........:D

I think the cameras at mayhem will not so much cause fights, but lead to players making asses of themselves, trying to look cool in order to get on film, but messing up terribly......
The women at Toulouse will be out of reach because we won't have clue what they are talking about, and they'll just pretend not to understand any English......

Gun throwing, no looking (for all but the pro's - coz we all know that the am's and the novice teams cause the most fights!!), full auto, crap paint, biased marshalls, late marshalls, no marshalls, tiny fields, deflating fields, no fields (Rocky tried to smoke them on a hazy night in Amsterdam!!) and if there is a players party you can't find it, won't remember it and you hope the cameras there at the games didn't follow you (Pet rescue wasn't what you thought it was!!). All this for starters. Then of course you've got crap prizes, no prizes, prizes you can't smoke shouldn't smoke, but probably will at least try. Expensive hotels, hotels you can't find and some you wished you hadn't found (it was cheap and the manageress looked just your my mum - and there were beds in the photo's and those stains weren't there in the brochure!!!). Bitching forward players, back players that fall asleep in the middle of the game (Chris you know who you are!!). And last but not least all that money you paid for "The Biggest Tournament The World Has Ever Seen" suddenly makes the organisers pocket seem like "The Fattest Back Pocket You've Ever seen", where DID all the cash end up?? Back into the sport my arse!!!

Or the mistakes of the past have been learnt and this season promises to be the best yet;) :D

We shall see.............:D :D :p :p

My predictions are...

All top level tournaments go off without a hitch, players flood the P8ntballer forums with messages of congratulations, the Millenium Comission go all group-huggy and institute a 'Fair Play' award with a chuffing great money prize which becomes the most hotly contended and sought-after trophy at any event, not one player bitches at/about the marshals for doing their job and all this koudos results in the International Olympic Committee granting paintball a place in the next summer games. Oh, and the staff of PGI get the Nobel Peace Prize for Outright Coolness.

Bugger. Just lost my rose-tinted glasses. Had 'em here a moment ago. Damn, back to normality then.

I predict......

that Pro's and very top Am's will get away with blue murder, whilst the little guys will get jumped on for every slight infraction...

(Do any memory bells start ringing when the phrase "gun-throwing" is mentioned?)
Also, every tourney I attend there will be lots of hype about having bottles inspected, yet when I go and fill my 10 year old dented DOT CO2 bottle, no-one will care..........

Cynicism? In the forums? Nah, I can't even spell it! :D
