CRAZY PROTO SLG please help

Right a mate bought a Proto slg off this forum but when he screwed the bottle in today it went crazy firing full auto even though it wasnt switched on and the trigger wasnt depresed

Anyone have any ideas what is going wrong

check the bolt and its o-rings

the SLG is a sear tripper meaning that the bolt catches on the sear which is tripped by the solenoid to release the bolt and vent air. Once air has been vented, the pressure change forces the bolt backwards where it catches on the sear again and the cycle repeats.

0:31 to 0:40

Overlubing the bolt results in it continually slipping off the sear and ultimately the "full-auto" syndrome that you have described.

I suggest wiping down the bolt and reapplying lube to the orings. Use a very small dab per oring and spread with your fingers.

I have an SLG also does it do the same if you turn it on and then screw the bottle in, I was having the same trouble but I have an on off asa fitted now. I only ask as it was switched off when I attached the other day did exactly that powered up reattached didn't do it.

Havent tried switching it on first as i almost s**t myself when it did it while switched off but iill try that also

Yeah I know what you mean, the 09's are susceptible to a thing called full auto syndrome as hello_moto said this guy recreates that issue here, like he states provided everything is properly lubed, etc. http://youtu.be/EoOMTJYVAis he has a few other vids on the SLG.
