I thought this event was going to be a complete wash out.... literally!!! :) but the CPPS crew did well to make this a damn good event

Was great to see soooo many teams attending today. Also top stuff from the Refs today, cant said anything bad of them... they kept the games running whilst be fair and accurate with their decisions - cant asked for much more tbh!

Thoroughly enjoyed the 5 man today and top job from the other Warped lads for a good performance in the so-called 'group of death'.

Hopefully the rain will keep away for round 2

9.897 out of 10! :D

Home, kit in the wash, equipment cleaned and myself had a nice soak and now clean.
But seriously, first tournament event for myself, and most of the guys on my team from the UWE Underdogs, and I want to say hats off to everyone. It was a really good day, I really enjoyed myself and I am really glad I came =]
Looking forward to round 2.

Ok guys thanks to everyone who came today and played/supported the event. Ill will do my proper thanks list with the scores but the short version is thankyou to all of ya. Especially the set up/clean up crew. After one of the worst weeks ever for me im glad to have got rd 1 out of the way.

We want all ya feedback good or bad now.

For me the major hicup was the xball scheduling. On paper it worked fine but practical application left alot to be desired so back to the drawing board for that. I acept that **** up as it was me trying to be to bloody clever! Lesson learnt and will improve for rd 2. Also need to improve the bins/rubbish around site as we overlooked it for this one and just spent all afternoon litter picking, again our fault.

Car parking was a ball ache. Up until last weekend you could get on and off the field easily but with the snow, then a week of rain we were kinda screwed. Combined with our promised car park not being built at the bottom of the site, instead being used as a lorry park and straw bale storage area we were kinda ice skatting up hill

Were were also a white marquee short as we loaned it to the farm for a function and they wrecked it and we are still waiting for them to repair it. It was promised for the weekend but again, we were let down. I dont like to blame others for mistakes as the buck stops with me but we are doing everything we can to improve for next round and improve all the areas we can. Its kind of a new learning curve this year as we have double din numbers from last year so we were caught out in a few areas. Never the less all feed back is appreciated, especially if you can elaborate on the specific areas.

Were comitted to putting on the best events we can so we can only improve on what you tell us.

Cheers,

Rich.

I thought someone had forgot to book the bands for glastonbury, Shame the field was chewed up but had great day again. Rich and the BoP guys deserve all the credit we can bestow on them for getting the site ready in the conditions.

This was my first CPPS experience and a first for our team (Dyehard), I must say I'm very disappointed..... very disappointed in my self for not playing this before :D! I was a little worried about how the fields would play with all the mud, but my worries faded away as it added to the game. I'd like to thank Rich and the BoP team, all the teams we played through out the morning and afternoon in Division A, also the marshals (especially for putting up with Clarkie ;)) and also Gill and crew of Justpaintball for supplying the paint.

Can't wait for round 2, lets hope the sun shines bright and dries up some of the mud, far too much exercise running in mud :D

Thanks again,

Alex

loved reffin the day, weather held and everyone played in a fair and honest manner. really looking forward to the next one :) if you could ask the sun to stay in the sky a bit longer that would be super :) clean up in pitch black is fun :)
