Over the last few weeks I’ve had some interesting phone calls and talks with you beautiful people about many different areas of the CPPS. So i figured i would try write a preview of what we hope is going to happen outside the actual divisions so it gives more of an insight of what happens outside the actual playing and divisions :p

The main point of alot of conversations ive had recently and one that has tickled me was an off the cuff comment that has been made by many a sceptic saying now you have a large share of the market will you be sitting back now and raking it in. I laughed, mainly because the people that have made it dont really know me or what drives me as its quite far from the truth

When we set out we had several main aims.
To provide a high quality, good value for money experience for the customers whilst keeping it fun and enjoyable.
Provide the most up to date fields to play on for all levels of teams so that we can cater for everyone’s needs.
Attempt to stabilise the down turn in the UK tourney scene whilst working with the trade and industry bodies.
We would like to think were on track with these aims, but more as a work in progress than the final solution.

So in order to keep up with the above we are investing in new Sup Air fields, upgrade kits, expanding the site for CPPS and practice events.
We have had to expand quicker than originally planned due to the influx of teams, both new and existing which is great as every time we set a limit on teams it seems to be reached and we have to re adjust plans and schedules so i thank the teams now that have stuck with us from the start, and the incoming teams that now see what we are doing.

This year we are also changing our marketing.
Normally we have used P8ntballer, Facebook and twitter which we will continue to use, but now we will be bringing you BOP tv on you tube and also some budget dvd’s. We will be documenting some teams across all levels of play so that new teams can get more of an insight as to what goes on at events at all levels.

We also have some great media partners to work with like Paintball Scene, the photographers (to be announced soon but ya know them already) and an additional mini tv crew (to be annoiunced soon) which we would love you guys to support.

There will also be changes in 2011 to the catering and refreshments.
We will have a bar on site from the Saturday afternoon with a BBQ/meat fest (or veggie fest for the non carnivorous amongst us) in the admin and social area :D

On the Sunday not only will we have Sparkie doing the catering (they did the food at the fed cup), but also a local company providing a hog roast as well as the bar. Soft drinks and refreshments will be available from these guys as well. This should provide a good choice of foods and minimise the cue issues we have had in the past.

A new camping area is also being prepared where if you do not wish to have food off our BBQ then you can have your own in there (anti social :().

So hopefully if this has come across in the right way you will see we are not sitting back by a long shot.
The main focus is we all have to enjoy what we do and this year is looking the best yet.

At this point i want to say a big thanks to all the sponsors and supporters both new and existing and look forward to a busy year ahead for all of us. Please keep an eye on the various posts in our section as regards to info and updates as we have allot going on and we are updating as we go.
Any questions or for more info please don’t hesitate to contact me,

Rich
