This is the basic low down on what we would like input on for the series. We intend to run along the same lines as last year with the 5 man in the morning and xball and 3man in the afternoon.

M7 Super League (xball).

Most of it will be kept the same as last year. SPL format, race to 4pts and every team will get 4 x 10min matches for £235 perround (if playing all 6 rounds)

We are reconsidering the locked division for this format as with xball being an expensive format to play it does put a strain on finances etc. We already have 8 teams signed up for the season so far so we may just have the remaining 2 spots held as open slots. The divisions for each round will be snake seeded from the previous rounds like last years.

We will stil be flexible on roster sizes but the remaining Milllennium rules will be adhered too.

M5 Premiere League.

Teams will rcieve a minimum of 8 games per round, all locked teams will be charged £185 per round.

We would like to consider running both a locked division(s) and also an open division. The main sticking point is with the locked divisions:

Do we have one big locked division where every team will play each team the same number of times over the season and an open division?

Two smaller locked divisions (9 teams per division, simple 8 game format) and an open section.

4 smaller locked divs (5 teams per bracket , play each team twice) and then open section. But also include a playoff for division winners with bonus points for play off placings?

Then how do we seed it?

Snake seeded, cut off each division after overall placing in league, eg top 9 Div 1, next 9 div 2 etc etc

Lock divisions on ability for season (like old PA style), with relagation and promotion and end of season, or after each event, hald season etc.

The CPPS championship (M3C)

We had planned this to be a variable format of 3 and 5 man, but with the addition of the open 5 man division in the M5PL this will now just be a 3 man fun section like last year with a few paint prizes at each round for the winners. Format will depend upon the number of entries. teams will get a minimum of 9 games, entry will be £90 per team or £50 if you have played the M5PL in the am session.

We would also like to talk to any University reps for teams as in the last few days i have been aproached by several uni's already and after talks with some of the supporters of the series we will be able to offer a package deal to play in either the open divison of the M5PL or the M3 Championship

We will have a list of all traders next week with final polished details but so far Just Paintball, JCS and Laysick, and Warped have all expressed an interest in supporting the teams a the CPPS.

We are also in the early stages of planning an end of year event which we hope will appeal to a wide range of teams after last years public exhibition events.

If you cant make the meeting on sunday please feel free to express an opinion on this thread as the only way we can change or improve on last years success is if you tell us what you agree and dont agree with.
Rich.

Ideally, Quake would like to see the fixing of Xball as an afternoon event. Prep time and field walking are combined with a long journey for us. A little selfish, i understand!

We would tend to stick with the current Mils rules as it makes it easier running from one rule book.

Also we found in 09 with the 10.5bps most teams in the xball div shot around 10 boxes with 7 players rotating which helps keep cost down. Plus with the amount of Millennium teams in attendance using the event as practice we would ideally like to keep the M7 format as close to the real thing as possible :)

Rich, I'd like to point out that for over a year now you've been used the word Premiere in you league titles, as in first ever (Film Premiere etc.) rather than Premier meaning best (Premier League, Premier Inn etc.).

That's always niggled me!
You sir, clearly have too much time on your hands :D
