Got a CP reg tank 68/45, whenever i screw it all the way into a marker, it is very difficult to unscrew from markers, no matter which one. I'm not cross-threading it when i screw it in, other players have tried aswell.

Help please !

If it's very difficult to unscrew from markers, it's unlikely to be the ASA on every marker.

Dry firing a marker with the offending bottle until the bottle has no air left in it.
If the bottle is now easy to unscrew, then it's the remaining air pressure in the bottle
which causes problems when trying to remove the it.
Add a pressure switch to the ASA if one is available, it makes life much easier.

Hi

Are you using your CP reg on markers with purge ASA's ? (you release the pressure from the ASA before you unscrew the reg)

Use a cloth and clean all of the threads of the regulator, carefully inspect the threads for damage.
I have seen threads that have just one bur on that make them very difficult to work with.

If you are using basic ASA's with no purge it is normal that it will be more difficult to unscrew. This is due to the pin in the ASA depressing the pin in the end of the reg. This means that the reg will still be releasing air pressure until you unscrew the reg enough for the reg pin to completely disengage from the ASA pin.

Check to see if there is any damage to the top of the CP reg where the pin extrudes from the top of the bottle. Some ASA's can damage the aluminium here causing the reg pin to stick.

Regards
