CP asa

I currently have a CP on/off asa stuck on the bottem of my cocker and to turn the air flow on you just screw in the end. I was told by a Marshall on sunday that it would not be legal for play at Millenium events etc because it can't be locked down.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about/has had any problems with this.

I think that the Judge who told you that is a little confused

He is perhaps thinking that adjusting the on/off alters the output pressure like on a Max-flow

Your set-up is perfectly legal to use in Millenniums (out of curiosity - who told you this?)

As long as your asa is screwed all the way in it is fine

Theoretically an ASA like that could be used in such a way that the tank doesn't give out it's full pressure. However, any marshall worth his salt would just turn in the knob by no more than half a turn before chronoing one of these. Shouldn't be a problem. Give the guy who told you that a kick in the shin

a non lockable ASA can only be a bad thing for the player... it cant up any during a game, it can only come undone, and then you find that you get drop off and wont be able to fire

Thats kinda the point though, you could have it low flowing at the chrono and then turn it fully in before/during the game.

an on /off cant change a chrony reading, ive tried it at home, even if u turn it in the smallest amount it just has a slow recharge rate, it wont lower the fps
