Ok, I've for a CP on/off purge ASA which for some reason has decided to stop purging all of a sudden. I figured that there must be dirt in the hole the air bleeds out of, anyone got any ideas on how to sort this out?

If the pin dont work, use a hammer...defo wont keep any air in then.

Is this the direct mount... happened to me..
*take it off your gun!!!!!! all will be reveiled when u actually open the mount up.
Get some long nosed pliers and pull brass cirle out, then grab tip of pin and pull out also - lube all parts with O ring grease and ensure internal pin thingy is lined up correctly - re assembe as you disassembled - should work fine
