Got to say that apart from P8ntballer - the coverage of Campaign has been awful !!!

I've spent most of the weekend on my mobile trying to get the results direct from the tournament - as no where has them. I find it hard to believe that so much effort has gone into such a Premier tournament and nothing has been done to keep the U.K paintball fraternity up to date on what is happening in the competition.

If you look at the NPPL - you can get updates 2 / 3 times a day from a variety of sources - come on Millenium - it needs sorting for 2004 !!

Got to agree with you there. No mention of Campaign on FON or the like - don't even think the rest of the world knows it's happening!

At this years Millenium only Joymasters did a decent job with results !

They had everything on-line. But a minor minus there for not marketing the fact they ran results on-line.

from a spectators point of view I was really disappointed again with the lack of any posters outside the stadium to attract people in.

It seems the only people who were watching were either on the way to use the pool or were walking their dogs around the outside of the stadium - the point of stadium games was to get joe public involved, it's been beautifully set up for 'ballers but it's definitely NOT friendly or encouraging outside spectators. Such a shame in South London where you've got lots of kids who'd love to watch this...

Also it was frustrating not having an easily visable list of games on each field so you could pick and choose which teams you wanted to see

I must say Maxs Masters also had a very good online coverage
(almost live)

It's a shame other events don't pay that much attention to
their (online) coverage

i bet
for each player at the tourney there are X persons @ home curious for the results

what did backlash dooo 2day ??

dood where have you been all weekend? did u not see the posters on the railings out side the stadium - or the AA road signs that were posted quite a distance away (yet one being pointed the wrong way:p )

but if u were up by the xball field 3. area- you would of seen the amount of people just coming to watch- and many players were being asked abit about the sport etc.

i thought it was good for oustide interest .

Think you're right Andy - far more "external" spectators this year, but I think there are a few small things that could be done to draw more attention in, posters further a field for maybe a week or month before.

It's a free event to spectate - you'll be amazed how many people would be interested with that word on a poster! :D

And maybe something like Toulouse - a shooting range competition for punters. Could be anything - a host of free entry tickets or discounts to Campaign Site Niall? (Not Campaign Cup! :))
