ease of filling.
when you take the max flow and make it vertical you lose the fill nipple, so putting an other reg on that has a fill nipple makes it easy to fill the system, a team mate uses a max flow and geddon on his impy and i use a unireg and max flow on my shocker, both of us can fill oor systems quickly with out having to disconnect some stuff.

If I buy an ANGEL A.I.R for my impulse...do I need a vertical regulator?
I know a few people that use their Angel AIR without an extra regulator. The AIR is a pretty good air system, and is pretty consistent, so it is possible to skip the second stage of regulating. However, if you're after superduper consistancy, I'd recommend getting that vert reg. The AIR, like most air systems, is designed to deliver a relatively high volume of air, at a relatively high pressure into your marker. The systems that do this well, are not always equally consistent at lower pressures, simply because they were not designed to be. Therefore, go with the extra reg. It'll look better, if nothing else...:D
