i have got a Dye Ultralight 2003 with E-Blade, i went to training last weekend and when i got onto the field and started to walk to trigger at pace (well probally 10bps or so) it started to chop balls, i have got the trigger set at TPUL 002 and at Factory Fast, any idea what could be making it chop paint. oh and it is chopping paint as it gets into the breach so it is also locking up the bolt!!

m8 send skeetmaster a pm he should be able to sort you out.

in your sig it says your using an egg if its a basic one you may be out shooting it. or the paint could of just been crap.

but skeet should be able to sort you out.:)

Were you using fragile paint? You can get this problem when its cold outside and your paint is fragile :)

Did you have the eye on or off?

Another thing is does it have an adjustable LPR? If so under rapid fire are you starving the marker and only half cocking at times?

One last thing to look for is any blowback up the feed tube :)

Would check your LPR isn't choking then if you have one on there :) Rapid fire it and see if it 'farts' and only half cocks at any point.

Also check the marker does not have any blowback and that the ball stack is not jumping up when you fire. Easiest way is to put two balls in the feedneck with no hopper on, and fire the first ball out. See what the 2nd ball does, if it jumps up over out the feedneck you have blowback. If it goes straight down into the breech your alright :)

If you do have blowback, it will be either a timing issue, or your paint is too large a bore for the barrel your using.

Both worth a look :)

Try checking how far forwards your bolt is when fully backwards, if you can see some coming into the breech, adjust your cocking rod so it doesn't :)

Ok, i went round to my captains (the ex-owner of the marker) and we looked at it and then put air in it, and well if paint was ment to fly out of the top i think it would have been designed to, so we sorted out the blowback, which by donig that sorted out the chopping problem, so now the paint which was chopping last weekend now is gonig through it much better (no breaks)....Thanks for all you halp guys, much apprechiated (typo!!)
