I've got a cocker with evo internals and an armaegeddon system but over the Chrono my velocity jumps around loads. There has got to be a reason for this so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for improving consistancy over the Chrono.

a reg will help alot, try an ergo reg, probly the best out there.

I got the latest internals fitted by Bonich at the start of the year. I think the front reg is the way forward, but I thought the armaegeddon would be enough.

What vertical reg do you have? is it the stock reg? I have a stock cocker, ergo reg and amaggedon and mine isnt that consistent, usually between like 265 and 280 which is pretty bad i think.

Where do you play because I am just the other side of Aylesbury to you?

My stock cocker used to be pretty bad @ the crony, I think as a marker thats just the way they are, unless you got the setup spot on. It`s possible your inline is screwed or maybe your bolt is messed, but as long as it shoots ok, dont mess with anything

What kind of fps jumps are we talking, if it`s about 15 - 20 I think thats not too bad, if its more then you gotta problem

I found cleaning the reg on my cocker changed consistancy from +/- 20 to about 2 or 3. I got a max flow with no inline reg.

Make sure that you have the a correct barrel bore match to suit your paint, as paint tends to roll down the barrel a little on cockers and thus causing erratic chronographing.
See if it makes a different chronographing the cocker totally horizontal over the chrono with no tilt at all so paint has no chance of rolling down your barrel. If its consistant then its probably your barrel causing the inconsistancy.

thanks guys there is a lot of useful information here, I've just ran a cotton bud around the inside of my armaegeddon and got alot of s**t out of it
I'm playing this weekend in the Angel cup so i'll see if it improves, probably still save my pennies for the ergo though.

Where do you play because I am just the other side of Aylesbury to you?

I work and play at finmere the NPG site, but have the option of setting up sup'air on another marshalls farmers field close to the site.

I had a similiar problem with my cocker about 6 months ago. If cleaning the regs doesn't work it could be the timing. I took it into planet and they fixed it in about a minute. Thanks Jack!
