I think a big pat on the back is in order for all those players, teams and vendors who supported one of the first of the federation's regional events; From what I have heard of the numbers of teams there, it is self-evident, the UK players have responded superbly to this initiative.

It's not all about teams tho because those vendors who attended yesterday took a leap of faith by getting their asses outa bed and adding that much needed commercial atmosphere that all serious sports possess.

The board is sitting this week and we will hear a full report on all aspects of the event covering logistics, reffing, facilities and so on.

Initial reports are encouraging and no better acid test is the opinions of teams and players, and that response seems really good.
I hated seeing team attendance slide and that slide has been halted and now reversed, the federation and its promoters will provide the infrastructure for a full recovery but you guys are the 'bums on seats' that prove so vital for the lifeblood of any sport.

So far so good - a massive well done to all !!!

Get our asses outa bed ? i didnt even get the chance see my bed after work saturday night, got home grab gear, set off at 5am. As always, was well worth it though :D

It has been a while since i seen so many teams at the Masters. The atmosphere was awsome. Plenty of vendors like it should be at an event, makes you feel like a 5year old in a toy shop.

Having split divisions for morning and afternoon play, made life easier for the players. Before this system was used, teams could be standing around an hour or 2 before there next game throughout the whole day. The length of wait for the next game has now been shortened.

Edit* wheres my manners gone , thanks to all for making it worth it to play ball:)

It was very well arranged. As said below, you wernt waiting around for games. I think we had a max of 15 mins between our games. Very fast turnaround which was superb :)

Got to agree with the above comments, the turnout of traders made the day very good. It was nice to see and show to the new players.

For Div 5 it was great the gaps spread throughout the day allowed us to show them other more experienced teams playing and discuss how we had gone wrong (even when we won a game):D

The other 4 Divs had quicker turn arounds which helped to keep players warm and motivated:D

I'm chuffed - Deviants are coming back for more of the same and hopefully I can get back to enjoying the higher Divs with DVus.

I know some players will point out a few minor glitches but on a whole from all aspects the day was fantastic - heck I even loaned my Clan 07 to an opposing team so they could give us a competitive game

Thanks to Pete, Wendy and everyone else involved in helping turn yesterday into a great day.

Let's hope April sees more teams attending:eek:
