kinda bord so i thought id start a discussion (dont have a go about the spelling) i was just wondering Who prefers concept fields i.e sup' air over the old style wood land play uses in rec ball? and why?

My veiw is every one is one to their own and peoples preference vary through out the paintball community, i personally prefer the woodland play because it is sneeky and fast, best of both worlds but sup'air is great as well.

in my opinion.....concept.......110%

woodland....how erm....yeah well.....it was good to start off with and 90% of ppl do start in the woods. but like a thomas the tank engine jumper.......you grow out of it.

reasons i dont like it.....its dark and not cool.....how many supercool red, yellow and blue trees have you seen. simple thing is its not as COOL......nuf sed!!!

this comes from a marshaling perspective too......SPRAY......its so inconsistant.

and camo.........no!!!

playing on an amazing surface (Midlands Masters, Marchbrook etc.) a crowd, sun, fun, ladies.........concept has it all......

let me flip this a bit if i can.....what does concept paintball not have........nothing.....it just rules!!!!!:p

thank you:D   :p

Concept I'm afraid!

Woodball certainly has its place in the world of paintball cos it really is where 99% of people first experience paintball, I did, got hooked and then moved towards concept...
... the reason I love things like Sup Air so much is just the speed, colourfulness, move pulling oppurtunities and general coolness! It must be the way forward, but I don't think that you can stress the importance of Woodball enough, there is another thread going at the moment that has shown that Woodball (or Rec Balling) really does so much to keep the sport alive, not only does it help keep sites going it introduces new players to the sport.
For some reason things like Sup Air just seem to make it look more like a sport rather than a 'War Game', and that is definatly a good thing, but there is certainly nothing wrong with people who want to go out to the woods and spray their mates with paint! As was also said on the other thread, Concept/Tourney players are in a minority, most people are just normal joe public who go along to a site to run around shooting their mates.

I love Sup Air if that wasn't too clear! :D

Cowboy, hit the nail on the head. woodland is the starting point, but when was the last time you saw a bikini clad hottie watchin a woodland tourney? They come with supair, cricket pitches and stadiums mate. And of course, every tourny that I attend.....
