hi there, just hoping there is someone who doesnt mind helping me out with a few ion questions?
i can service my ego with my eyes closed but this is the first time ive got down and dirty with the internals of an ion.
finally gathered all the parts to build one from scratch, from spares ive had lying around and bits ive baught on the cheep!
built it up and there is gas leaking all over the place and the bolt isnt doing what i thaught it should!
ive got a bob body and when i gass it up the back end of the bolt tail is pushed out of the back of the can! looking at a marker animation should there be a washer (possibly called a donut) which the bolt rests against which maybe is missing or the wrong way round?
also the board i aquired didnt have the hose/fitting configuration that i expected! i have seen the plastic push fit hose fittings before with the swivel hex key drive, but should there be 2? one at either end? because i have 2, one at the front by the front reg and one in the middle where i thaught there should be a qev? at the rear fitting there is a chromed bolt type fitting which requires a spanner to fit (quite tricky) is this the correct layout? i would have guessed that the metal fitting should be in the middle and the plastic ones should be at either end?

any help greatly appreciated

personally i have always had problems with ions they never seem to work for long. once u get one leak fixed it leaks somewhere else or just dont work.but i always found starting the reg from very low pressure and turning it up slowly was the best way this way u can keep it at low pruesser and try work the problem out while lossing less air :D but also it would be that the blot is over pressured so starting low will probably help

ok sorted the bolt problem, donut washer thing missing completely:p
if anyone can advise on position of the hose fittings it would be v. helpfull

At the front above the reg in the frame, is a large diameter Banjo.
This takes the air coming from the reg to the input on the noid.

In the middle there is either a QEV or small diameter banjo (this goes to the plastic nipple on the noid)

At the rear there is another large diameter banjo (identical to the front one)
This goes to the output on the noid.
