In a 5-man team, who, should be shouting more, the back players or the mid player(s)?
I always thought it was the backs hailing paint while mid looks more.

Tell me what you guys do.

Cheers

Mid players?

You have mid players in a 5man side?

In my experince (which is limited) it is the back center who is the key, he/she is the communication hub of the team; all messages/calls are passed through him.

Other than that the back players shoudl have a better view, and so should be passing information too front players, who are more likely to be asking questions.

That's my 2 cents, what does anyone else think?

Ok, to be honest, I'm on a 5-man team but we havent played in a 5-man game, let alone a tourny! I thought it would be 2 back, 1 mid and 2 front. Is 3 back and 2 front a better configuration?

We play it differently for different fields. Some fields can be characterized as "runner's fields", and we play them with 3-4 fronts and the other one or two in back. Others are more "shooter's fields", and we play them with 1 or no front players, everyone as far back in the field as possible, blazing like mad.

I love starting with five markers laning, delaying the break for a few seconds, then moving up one front player on each tape. One tournament we had an ugly draw and we played with one back in each corner, two in the middle, and one front taking the flag on the break. I only missed the pull a couple of times, because with everyone laning, I had almost no one shooting at me after I passed our 35.

I agree with Tom Tom as we play 1 or 2 back and everyone else up front. We even had a field where we all just went for the 35 off the break as there were deadspots everywhere.
My reconmendation is to mix it up depending on each field.

Cheers guys for your views. I guess if we play, it will be the 3 back, 2 front configuration depending on the field.
