Greeting paintball lovers.....
To avoid me answering a zillion pms regarding the last group anno order I have put this together and requested it be stickied if possible
To begin with, I am in no way associated with Colour annodising. I take ZERO responsibility for there work or any future orders. All I know is that I have just successfully completed a group order with them and was very very impressed with the quality of the workmanship. These are after all, the very same company that annodise all the Planet Eclipse markers before they go on sale to us orrible lot .
So....the process....(quite straight forward really)
Company used for last group anno order: COLOUR ANNODISING LTD
Address: Colour Annodising LTD, Holland Street, Radcliffe, Manchester, M262RH
Telephone: 0161 723 2637
In the first Instance I suggest calling them up and asking to speak to Mr Peter Sprawling (plant manager). Hes the guy that knows more about the paintball side of things and also the processes involved. If you explain to him that you are looking to get some work done and give him a brief outline of parts and colours required he will then advise you of an ESTIMATED fee.
THE MINIMUM SET UP FEE IS £75 + VAT + CARRIAGE (carriage will vary dependant on weight of order)
For reasonable orders of say 20 parts or less you SHOULD be covered in the initial fee.
This can include multiple colours and the fee should not change. ** Note: I had three colours and less than 20 parts and the fee did not change**.
Obviously if the order gets bigger then you should expect the fee to recognise this.
Once Peter has agreed the work then you will be required to send in the parts STRIPPED down**, labelled individually ** along with an inventory list containing all the parts, there current colours and the colours they are to be annodised to. Also be sure to add in a covering letter containing a return address and contact details.
See http://www.anodising.com/index.html for there colour chart before deciding on what you want doing.
Once C.A/Peter has received the parts he will then be able to give you a confirmed price via a telephone call. At this point he will advise you if the parts have been stripped down correctly or not via a phone call. BE WARNED....they WILL NOT PROCEED if the parts have not been stripped correctly unless you give them authorisation. You may be required to sign a disclaimer.
ANYTHING OTHER THAN ALUMINIUM WILL BE FRAZZLED DURING THE ANNODISING PROCESS. This includes orings, jewels, screws, pins, magnets....ANYTHING!!
Once the green light has been given for the work to commence there is a turnaround time of 3-5 working days for the work to be completed. Once this is done Colour Annodising will raise an invoice, make contact and arrange payment via telephone (Credit/debit card).
Once payment has been completed the work SHOULD be with you via 24hr express courier, all packaged up and ready to be dribbled over
A few things to note:
Mods: feel free to sticky or let this drift away into obscurity.........

A few things to note:
- ALL PLANET ECLIPSE MARKERS WILL HAVE THERE WARRANTIES INVALIDATED IF THEY GO FOR RE-ANNO.
- 'Stripped down' means NOTHING except aluminium to be left on the parts to be anno'd. Screws, o-rings, bolts, jewels, plastic, magnets ANYTHING except aluminium will get fryed during the process. You have been warned
- My advice would be to check each part then wrap it individually with a printed label one each part stating an inventory number, the part name, the part colour and colour to be annoed. Match this with an inventory listing the COMPLETE order so they can cross reference in case of any mistakes.
- Realistically, if you are arranging a group order, allow a MONTH for a complete turnaround time.
(this includes waiting for parts to be sent to you from participants, getting payments , packaging and shipping to and from anno etc. It MAY be quicker if you are on the ball but DO NOT expect this to be an overnight process) - VAT is currently 20% (i think)
- Carriage will vary dependant on weight but look at a MINIMUM of £15+
- To my knowledge C.A DO NOT do splash or fades- JUST STRAIGHT ANNO.
- FINISHES- Again, C.A do not determine the finish and DO NOT offer a finishing service. If you send in a 'polished part' you will get a 'polished part' back, regardless of colour. The same for a dust finish. If you want to get a dust part annoed with a polished finish I suggest you get it polished BEFORE sending it to anno.
That folks.....is as much info as I think you need to arrange your very own group annodising order.
I thank you
-ChEf
