When can we get rid of this ugly, supposedly, anti cheat devise at the end of our cockers? It looks BUTT Ugly! It was put on there in the 90's to stop people pushing their hammer and get another 50 foot per second . Well I know 4 a fact in all the games I've played in, in the last 5 years, I ain't had time to do nothin but keep pulling the trigger during a game; let alone take 1 hand off the gun and push the rod. Apart from that it adds to the weight and makes it a pain in the arse to ajust the velocity

any 1 else agree ????

shocktech ( i think) used to do a back block with a cover over the cocking rod so you didnt need a beavertail.

eather that of get a half block...they dont even have cocking rods! :)

otherwise, you wont be allowed on a tournie field without a beavertail.....you might not cheat but that dont meen other people wont. any marshall would (or should) pull you out of the game. if i (as a player) saw someone walking on field with no beavertail, i would insist their marker was checked and removed from the game.......and a lot of others prob would too

Not with the ROF now, would you stick your finger in the way while banging away at 15bps on your eblade :p

Plus i've still managed to hit my mask with a beavertail.

ok heres why beavertails were introduced, and its nothing to with turning the velocity adjuster

take you cocker and uncock it, ie fire it but dont allow it to recock, then with the palm of your hand hit the end of the cocking rod real hard, it will fire the marker......and due to the fact that you are hitting it harder than the hammer strikes it, you get a hot shot....with the beaver tail on you cant hit the rod
