I'm using a 98c with a flatline barrel, I love it, but I occasionally get the paint that doesn't
wanna cooperate and breaks all the time. I'm addicted to the distance and accuracy.
I was looking at getting a cocker with a freak barrel, cuz cockers got more distance
than any 98 with out the flatline. Any the freak would solve any paint problems,
and improve distance and accuracy. Now I don't know much about mags but Ive bee
informed that, they are less complicated and more reliable than a cocker. And with the
Z-body it gets better distance than a cocker. I wanna now the truth . I wanna hear from
both ends of the spectrum.

Stock 2k1 cocker with freak barrel or a Z-body mag. I don't know if I'll have monet for a barrel afterward right away for the mag though, probably go with a boomstick though.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

ok I cant undertand why you'd use an autococker or automag for backup to your tipman (id have it the other way around) but If you often play big games the z-body automag has adialed on backspin control basicly you can use it like a flatline but you can also turn it off when shooting paint vortex make one with the hyperframe or you can buy the fram and alter an automag and yes automags are simpler then cockers

Ps I know theres no punctuation in this post .

The z-body do basically the same thing in two different ways though. Z-body has a skid plate that puts backspin on the ball. I hear they are sweet until you tilt the marker sideways. Or you could get the flatline cocker but its ugly and the chances of a ball break at long range are slim. I'd would get a cocker and trick it out or stay with the 98.

a buddy of mine has the z-body mag, he loves itbut he says it's really picky about paint and even with marbz every 3rd or so ball doesnt catch on the little skit plate thing so it doesn't spin tand there fore doesnt have the distance. if you want a back up for your Flatline, get a Phantom, sure it's a pump but you'll get outstanding range and accuracy (not that of a flatline but I think the best of any non-backspin barrel/gun) and it's not very picky about paint ... I have a Phantom VSC and I love it.
Check out www.phantomonline.com They're also increadibly light and easy to maintain. I can't say enough good things about them.

well.......

you do know that they make cockers with flatlines don't you?

why don't you go for one of them?

Otherwise, mags are alot less complicated than cockers, but the cocker is worth the effort.

Just to try to erase the myth of cockers having better distance than a mag......no matter what marker you are shooting, if the ball leaves the barrel at the same speed, they will go basically the same distance (excluding the flatline, because that puts backspin on the ball) Cockers ARE more accurate though, and the Freak system is a great barrel. Shop around and shoot other people's markers.....(ask them first)

If it were me i'd say pass it all up and save up for an Angel, but that's just my opinion. But if i didn't own the Demon Slayer, a TC or Evolution Cocker would be next in line. ;)

I think his problem lay with the flatline barrel and that it breaks paint ... I wonder though, would a Low Pressure Cocker break paint the same as the high pressure m98 does ... But I think he was seaking something that would shoot paint that the 98 chews up but would still give him distance ... hence I mention the nelson based pump ... a Phantom will shoot just about anything ... I wouldn't put smart paint through it ... but thats about it ...
So yeah thats why a Flatline 'cocker wouldn't be an apropriate back up ... I think it would be a better main gun ... make it Low Pressure and put a hinge trigger on it ... that would kick ass ... someone needs to come up with a flatline Angel ... I don't think that wouldn't be nearly as ugly ...

P.S. Would it be possible to have a spell checker added to the forum? I can't spell my way out of a wet paperbag ... what ever that means ...
