Why is there no Cocker Tech Stand at either of the Northern series (2K3 & MM). Surely the amount of autocockers out there warrants some sort of tech support.
And why doesn't someone get off their comfy chair and arrange a cocker tech class. Trial and error is a stupid way to have to learn when you can go to a tech class and learn through tuition, it's well reknowned as a better mode of education. Plus the knowledge gained will give the owner more confidence when handling his marker. Ask all the people that go to the Angel Tech classes.

I know how invaluable DB is mate, but he lives down south so not expecting him to trail up here much except to play. The thing is he isn't the only competant Cocker Tech in the country and I'm sure the lads and lasses on the northern circuits would benefit from having a techie available on site @ Tournaments just like the Angel owners do.

Good point Eric :)

But what your going to get is everyone wanting a tech at tourneys for there types of markers :)

Should Smartparts have one as well? Cause theres loads of Impys kicking about at tourneys :)

Not knocking the idea mate by any means, cause I think it would be handy to have techs there :) The angel stand though is just as much a technical stand as it is a marketing tool for the level of after sales service available to there markers owners :)

Must be someone out there though who is a tech in quite a few markers, who could maybe do cockers as well as several other types of markers :)

The reason there are no cocker techs at tournies, is that cockers are not unreliable, the same for Imps and Shockers, whereas Angels on the hand...........theres so many uneccessary features that people are bound to fu*k up their marker if they mess with it.
Example a teamate of mine bought a Dark IR3 when they first came out, every since he has owned it there has been nothing but problems with it (chronoed inconsistant, would`nt chrono over 250, chops all the time, just failed to work etc...) and even tho hes given it to every Angel tech at every tourney (CC, Hilton, MM) it still fu*ks up !!!
Altho I would love to go on a Cocker tech course, Jack Wood, Danny Love or Bud Orr could teach me if any of em have a spare day or so :D

Gurney please...

Maybe your mate has a one-off duff Angel, but to say Angels are unreliable... Well frankly you're talking out of your arse.

Do you really think if they were unreliable people would go on using them? Once they're set up to your liking you shouldn't need to mess with ANYTHING - just switch on and go.

Jeez, learn them your frikken self, they are not hard they are not a mystic art, all it takes is an hour or 2 with Ravi's site.
Fist day I had mine I stripped rebuilt and retimed it, its easy!

Cause I can't remember it now so don't come to me with your cocker woes......;)

I'd say cockers weren't that reliable simply because all it takes is a set screw to back out on a rod colar and the timing goes to pot.

Just my experiance you understand.. :)
