Cocker Screw Up (possibly)

Hi,

I have a Nightkast and it hasnt had any shots through it yet cause i am still saving for an air system.

Basically - the cocking rod seems to be loose in the way in which it is screwed in , but can still be pulled backwards and forwards, and when you cock it back and switch on the worrblade and fire, it will spring forward but then kind of vibrate like a spring.
Also, if you hold the marker upwards (barrel towards sky) then turn it so that it faces the floor, you can hear something slide inside as the marker turns - so something is loose but i am not sure what ?

What is wrong with it - any ideas ? Is it easily fixable ? Is it meant to be like this ?

Thanks ,
Eddie

It is meant to be like that behind the cocking rod in simple terms is a spring loaded chamber..hence the "spring" effect you have found, that is why a beaver tail must be added to a cocker as if you push the cocking rod at the same time as pulling the trigger you can jump the fps by a "couple" of feet.
The movement inside...dunno off hand I would say it is one of the two springs in the valving system..which as you are not gassed up is not under load so can move about..might be something else instead but when you have gas if it goes away then you will know what it was.

Thanks Mark.

I am new to cockers but fortunate to have a team full of them but nobody that lives near me with one.

Thanks :)
