cocker pump rod problem

ok I have a raced up cocker with 44 ram, QEV's, ti pump rod, SLIK back block and evo delrin bolt. I always set the back block up so that it is away from the body slightly, however, while firing the marker the pump rod spins round tightening up the back block. At the end of games I have to wind the back block back out, otherwise the back block winds in so far that it starts to skip shots and then stops cocking properly all together.

I have tried ptfe tape to secure it but the problem persisted, then at training this past weekend I used some blue loctite to try to secure the back block. It was a very hot day and I left it for about half an hour to go off, but in the next game the loctite seal was broken and the problem came back.

Would leaving the loctite for longer (like overnight) help? Or should I use a stronger loctite? Or is there something else I can try?

Thanks for any help,

Charlie.

well thats what I tried. The ptfe didn't work and the loctite didn't work but may have needed longer to set properly, but I thought half an hour on a hot day should have been ok. I will try the loctice again and hope it works leaving it longer.

Blue loctite on one of the two ends of the rod should do 'er, but to be safe, you could put a little at both ends if it's moving that much. You need to shake first, apply a bit towards the center of the threads that need locking, screw in, and let dry for at least a few hours, 8 is recommended I think. 30 minutes isn't long enough.
