I'm having a mental battle over the two...some people swear by cockers and others electros.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of the two?

Well i have a cocker myself. What is obvious is that the cocker shoots straighter, and electros (angel, matrix) shoot faster. I don't know how much $ you want to spend, but for the price of an Angel you can get a very awesome custom-autococker. In my opinion the ultimate marker is an autococker with an electronic gripframe. Then you'll have the accuracy of a pump-gun and the ROF of an electro. -But still a WGP autococker is great out of the box. Throw a new barrel and a new gripframe on it and you're very much ready to rock. On the custom cocker scene theres comming more all the time, and cockers are still some of the bestselling markers! Another thing is that i like to see that something is happening when you shoot the marker, and looking at all the chrome stuff jumping around is well cool. I'd go with the cocker!:D

Well I have just changed from a Shocker to a Cocker. This was the best move I have made in paintball. Stick a blade frame on a cocker and you can get rates of fire to match or even be better than an electro. Get someone like John Bonich to do you a trigger job and you can have a 2mm trigger pull if you want. I would definately go for a cocker. Also with an electro you could have the problems of batteries dying on you or the board or solenoids breaking (very expensive to replace).
