Tried to shoot my brothers cocker tonight, but air is coming down through the barrel. I have not got the first blue clue about these damned things so any help would be greatly appreciated.

it doesn't seem to be cocking properly but when you moanually pull the bolt back it holds. it is a factory eblade with a zero be recently fitted. it worked extremely well with the original e1 board.

any ideas????

also lost the eye cover screw, so if anyone has a spare one they are prepared to sell me drop me a line.

cheers,

does the air stop leaking through the barrel when you pull the cocking rod back? if so your valve seal is fine and the leaking air is nothing to worry about, your problem is timing.

Take the grips off, turn the board on and press the little red button on the board, cycle through the setting modes and set it to factory fast, should sort your timing issues out.
If this doesnt work then your LPR may need adjusting, your sear or hammer lug has worn down or your cocking rod needs screwing in more... or less (forward inursur can cause the hammer lug to slip off the sear also).

Does it have a adjustable LPR at the front?

If the above don't work try (slowly) turning the LPR pressure up (turn it in)

It should start recocking as the LPR goes up.

Cheers

Ben

P.S. Try looking here: http://www.air-powered.com

what he said then if your still having problems try the timming

The cocking rod is the rod coming through the back block under the bolt. The bolt is supposed to come back forward after firing, its a "closed bolt" marker which means the bolt rests in the forward postion when static.
The problem is that the hammer (the big heavy bit attatched to the cocking rod) is not recocking. Try shortening your cocking rod by screwing the dongle on the end of it in a few mm's, there may be a small grub screw down the end of it that you have to loosen before it will screw along the rod.
Otherwise your Lug or sear might be worn or your lpr may be too low.

Edit: are you sure you're turning the lpr up and not down? seems unlikely that a qev would leak from too much pressure. Gas up and try to pull the backblock backwards... if its fairly easy to pull backwards then your low pressure is too low.
