i thought about getting one, at one time..
In-correct I'm afraid, ;) a Low pressure chamber can help on certain 'cockers, pre '97 models for example which have smaller air chambers:p.

pah, typed this all out and lost it, anyway.

Does it do something, yes, is it a whole lot, depends on point of view.

I had a pre2000 body Eclipse cocker which I made lots of changes too, one of which was adding an AKA LP chamber.

It did improve consistancy but a couple of fps, it also let me drop the input to about 180psi from 220 without undue effect on efficiency.

When I got it from G3 it was expensive (about $40 from memory) for what it did but I liked it, plus I am one of those "I'll do this to my marker even though I don't need to" kind of upgraders.

Value is subjective but I'd probably buy another if I was building a cocker.

To be fair mate I was looking at it as "something I haven't added yet"

And I was really looking for a way to justify doing it to anyone who asked the question if you know what I mean.

Thanks though

Apparently they do jack ****e mate...unless you have a pre '97 cocker...they don't fit em to Planet or Belsales cockers, which says that either they arent required or any possible gains are not worth the extra cost or weight....

Skeet,

While I admit that Jack and Belsales make some fine equipment it doesn't mean as much as you say becuase something isn't fitted.

I had an Eclipse cocker which was later than 97 body and when I added one it make a noticeable and measureable difference, was it worth it, yes to me but maybe not to someone else but doesn't mean it does "jack sh*t" as you so eloquently put it.

Have you actually tried one on a gun, and seen the difference, I would bet not.

Slim,

If you want the ultimate in hard to justify upgrades then get a nickle plated Z cut lightning bolt. It made no difference in fps at all over the Supercharger bolt (although the delrin one did) but having those Nickel Z cuts showing when the back block was back made it all worthwhile

This is a fair point...
however, im sure you would agree that if they felt it was a worthwhile addition it would be there, if not on production markers, on their own ones...
no i havent tried one..have only had my own cocker for a short while...I suppose if one became available for reasonable money I would try one, assuming they do work..I have enquired before, and the eloquent response, was the one I got!!:D

Just to throw my 2p in ;) I had a older cocker rebuilt to Evo '97 specs by Jon Bonich and when I was at one of the Outer Limits tournaments they had a couple of trade stands over, one being from Germany selling this Air chamber (I really can't remember how much it was) Jon was at the event so I asked him if it would improve anything and he said ...yes lighten my wallet...as there was such a thing as too much volume or words to that effect...I went to have it fitted anyway and the guys on the stand couldn't get it to fit with all the normal front end stuff on there as apparently you fit that first then the other parts. Now unless Jon Bonich has changed his tune it isn't going to help.
