Co2 is refilled at pretty much any site using a fill rig! As for importing guns its prolly cheaper just to buy a low end marker over here because u have to pay Price of gun + $50-$80 dollars shipping then another 20% on Custom and Excise duty so it adds up to being kinda expensive! Unless you try and skam C&E by doing certain things... none of which im willing to mention on a pubic forum though! :)

ok thanks, any advice where i can get a cheap starter marker with kinda low maintenence? i have like, around £80 :(

i've seen some cheap ones for import for like $80 but i suppose it would be very expensive to go through all that like you said.

Hi Xenos

For that kind of price range, you'd be looking at second hand kit. Check the classifieds on this section and ring up some local sites and talk to the owners - they may have ex-rental kit for sale or contacts with players looking to sell on kit.

Some of the UK online sites have sales and starter packages, but might be a little more expensive than your budget allows. It may well be worth saving as unless you are lucky with a good deal, you'd be limited to a pump or very basic semi, and a few more £s might get you something a little more competitive.

Another advantage of frequenting sites is you have a chance to meet people, talk to them about what they have and if you ask very nicley, a chance to try things out. You may find a marker that suits you like a glove and would be worth saving for rather than blowing your marker fund on something you feel you have to replace a few months solid playing later.

Oh - and "try before you buy"!

Actually it will be cheaper to import from the US, you get them cheap enough over there that once you add the shipping and import fee's(if you get caught by them) it is still cheaper than buying from over here. Try buying from canada why the exchange rate is good :D

Or....politly ask TheRooster to send one over when you pay him.....even cheaper :D

improting is a risky and long drawn out process.
try reading <a href="http://www.p8ntballer-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9760">this</a> before your too tempted.

i would also say save at least £100 and try again most likely in the second hand market.
If you havent got any goggles yet i would recomend getting those first, and get a decent set when you do.
JT Flex-7, Vforce (a wide range) you can get them from £30 up, and worth investing in as they are the only part of compulsary safety equipment.

if you want a cheap marker with the scope to upgrade try looking at a spyder, inferno, or (im waiting for neddyboy to pounce) a tippmann. each have their up and down sides. but they are all competative at an entry level. (just dont expect to play tourney ball with them)
and tippmanns can go REALLY cheap.

but i think its the 3rd time ive said this to someone today, TRY B4 U BUY, try as many as you can before you invest your hard earned cash in a marker.

POUNCE, i wouldn't do that!!!!!!!!:D Billy no mates gives some good advice.

I bought my first marker (tippmann 98) second hand off ebay for £60. But like he says try and save a bit more and try and get to your local site where you can try different types out. Goggles are first, fatbobspaintball.co.uk start £19.99 for V Force goggles for example.

There you go, that wasn't too painful was it Billy
